'The bushveld is a place where the human element indeed shrinks into utter insignificance, and grips you and subdues you and makes you one with yourself' - Jan Smuts
'When one tugs at a single living thing in nature one finds it attached to the rest of the world' John Muir (Maybe not an exact quote!)

The Backpacking Team, South America, 2008, Heather and Tim

Anaethetised Lion, Madikwe Game Reserve
For most of 2004, I took time out from my "normal" career to train and work as a field guide or game ranger in the big five reserves of South Africa as part of my lifetime interest in conservation and wildlife. I am currently living and working in Ontario, Canada and so get to experience and learn about a very different wilderness environment.
