Typical for many Canadians is to take time out of the cold north and travel south to Florida. We just spent a week in Florida part of which included some wreck and reef scuba diving off the east coast from Pompano Beach with South Florida Diving (http://www.southfloridadiving.com/). Another deep dive accomplished diving the Rodeo 25 wreck down to 112 feet, as well as a drift dive over the Pompano 3rd Ledge reef. Spectaular close up views of some large barracuda in the shadow of the wreck, an octopus on the reef and many more reef fish. On our reef dive, my dive buddy and I were on our own for the entire time down there which added to the thrill of the experience and a first for us in our 20 dive careers so far.
The two of us also fitted in a brief sail offshore from the beach on a Hobie Wave. Unseasonal warm weather with a slight breeze made for terrific conditions. Very enjoyable to be able to experience the great beaches and shore life but also get out onto and under the water offshore.
